Olympic Wrestlers reach new heights!

2006 Regional Performance

Last weekend high school wrestlers from around the State competed in the 2006 Regional wrestling tournaments and the right to compete in Atlantic City March 10-12 for NJ State titles!

We’re enormously proud of the 20 wrestlers from the Olympic Wrestling Club who won the right to compete in A.C.!  These wrestlers competed in Regions 1, 2, 3, and 4 and hail from counties throughout northern/central New Jersey.  Our regional medalists are:

This year’s total of 6 Region Champions and 20 Region Medalists exceeds last year’s performance when Olympic had 5 Champions and sent 16 wrestlers to A.C.  Last year, four Olympic wrestlers medaled in the States and two (Danny Vallimont, 140 and Tom Fazio, 145) were crowned State Champions.  We’re proud of our guys and wish them the best of luck in the big tournament!
